DISEÑO DE UN CENTRO DE PROCESAMIENTO DE DATOS DESARROLLANDO LA COMPARACIÓN ENTRE LA NORMA TIER DEL UPTIME INSTITUTE VS LA NORMA INTERNACIONAL ICREA STD-131

Abstract

In this report we design the Data Processing Center (DPC) of the Technical University of Guayas (UTG) considering the following aspects: availability of operational continuity, scalability without losing quality operational growth in services, both physical and logical security and quality of service, in the UTG there is now an infrastructure that hosts a number of servers that provide web services (Undergraduate Academic Management System, Academic Management System Postgraduate Teachers Academic Management System, Virtual Library, Virtual Learning System (PVA) , Repository UTG), Email Service, Service Monitoring Network Infrastructure, System Administration, Human Resource System and virtualization technology. It has a system of SANs (Storage Area Network) to support Databases (BD). Prior to the comparison study between the Uptime Institute TIER Standard versus International Standard ICREA (International Computer Room Experts Associate), the work proposes the design of the data center with the correct application of the International Standard for the Construction and Installation of Equipment environments for Management Team Information Technology and Related ICREA-Std 131-2009.
