Resumen:
The modern health care system is characterized by the application of the state of the art in electronic technology for the medical equipment. The diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation of the patients depend on the applied technology. But, due to the conditions in which operate some health centers of our country are not appropriated, they diminish the functionality of medical equipment because certain important procedures are not applied for their maintenance and good use.
Given the previous premises, this work establishes norms of basic procedures for the preventive maintenance and use of medical equipment in such a way that these are under good conditions of operation, providing good dependability, electrical safety and the reduction of times of inactivity medical increasing the productivity and the quality of the service. Also, these norms have been elaborated with universal focus, so that they can be applied in medical equipment of different marks and models according to their specific characteristics.
