Abstract: Bivalve mollusks have a high gastronomic value and are of great commercial importance within the country. However, they are affected by their way of feeding and by their low mobility in the environment where they develop, since they end up filtering contaminants into their body. Because they are exposed to different pollutants and pathogenic agents, control measures are required and they must be subjected to a purification system in order to be able to market and export a quality product. Due to the problems that arise, this study aims to evaluate the benefit of purification, the system to project adjust the export of quality products in addition to socializing the scope for producers and collectors on the Ecuadorian coast. To achieve the objective, the species Mytella strigata and Anadara tuberculosa were exposed to a purification process for 24 and 72 hours, respectively, and the physicochemical parameters and biological conditions were taken. The condition index was calculated which, according to the one – way analysis of variance (ANOVA), does not affect the A. tuberculosa product with purification. The calculation of inorganic content was also carried out and the ANOVA said that for the two species it is possible to significantly remove the sand from their tissues after 24 hours of purification. Regarding the percentage of survival, the ANOVA said that there is a significant difference in the survival of mussels M. strigata purified compared to non – purified mussels. Finally, the socialization of benefits to producers and collectors was carried out through face-to-face meetings and delivery of information brochures
