Abstract

DOCUMENT IN THE PROCESS OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. This project aims to continue the development of a web system to manage the Intellectual Property application process by researchers at the Escuela Superior Politécnica. The system allows inventors to enter the portal to complete and submit forms in two stages: a preliminary communication form and after the preliminary statement is approved, it leads to the complete application for; this process is managed through the OTRI (Oficina de Transferencia de Resultados de Investigación), an internal entity in charge of reviewing and approving intellectual property applications. The system flow begins when the inventor completes the communication form, where he provides basic information about the invention. Subsequently, after an initial review by the OTRI and feedback from the researcher, the manager can approve the communication form and give way to the complete one, which includes more specific and technical details about the patent. The final objective of the system is to optimize the intellectual property application process, providing an efficient digital platform that centralizes communication between creators and the OTRI, reducing times and facilitating monitoring of each stage of the process.
