dc.description.abstractThe 5s improvement methodology is a tool aimed at the elimination of pockets of dirt and disorder by identifying and eliminating sources, resulting in work areas clean and tidy, establishing a new work culture among the staff. The proposal for the implementation of this technique is conducted at a production line of sliced bread. This paper develops an action plan for the implementation of the improvement methodology 5s in order to increase levels of productivity through improved work environment and reducing waste of time and energy. To measure quantitatively the benefits achieved with the implementation of the 5s were established indicators, in order to make comparisons between the current state and future of the process. Prior to the development of a diagnosis was made 5s all work areas where problems were identified in the process. The planning is done so 5s methodology and detailed, describing the activities undertaken, techniques and materials needed for implementation. The results show a significant improvement in productivity levels, thanks to the implementation of this methodologyen
