This thesis describes the application of a process of continuous improvement in a machine shop, using the technique of total productive maintenance (tpm), basing its analysis on the optimal relationship that should exist between workers and the equipment they use. The implementation arises for the necessity of improving the productive systems of the organization through the car administration that she carries out, the reasons that you bear to this study are because many exist you stop of not programmed teams that they have a high time, so that to solve this problem he/she decides to apply the TPM, methodology that is based in four phases, in the first phase the current conditions of the teams were determined and of the cellar of tools being several anomalies in the machines and disorder in the cellar of reserves and tools, the problems that were in the machines are: lack of lubrication, slack engagements, worn away transmission bands, etc., in the second phase the autonomous maintenance was applied carried out by the production department, the same one that simplified the problems, the technical ABC was also applied in the cellar area, in the third phase they are defined the tasks and you to elaborate the maintenance plan, and in the fourth phase it is recommended before to make use from the prediction techniques to the teams mentioned so the future responsibilities of the operatives conceivably can consist only on the inspection.en
