dc.description.abstractThe 5S methodology is a philosophy of continue improvement that maximizes efficiency in the workplace, obtaining benefits from lower costs of production, higher quality, more security at the plant, greater flexibility to diversify products, etc. The overall objective of this work is to solve the problems caused by the disruption, disorder and lack of cleanliness in one area of a company using this methodology. The specific objectives are: more space for the circulation of materials, reduce the search time of coloring, more efficiently manage the information needed for production, and provide a tool to assess the conditions of organization, order and cleanliness to take corrective actions as they begin to decline. The methodology of implementation begins with determining the flow of the process. Subsequently collected to ascertain the level 5S initial indicators are established and measured, will map the value chain, and the diagram is plotted route. Then apply the components of the 5S and again collected the above information to determine the final status and by comparison to the improvements noted.en
