| Abstract: | This project analyzes the migration from an HFC network to a G-PON network using Urdesa Norte, part of the Guayaquil city, as a geographical area of study. This area is highly residential. The study, which has a technical, economic and regulatory approach, seeks to assess profitability, advantages and disadvantages of migration path, analyzing the payback period. The project has been divided so that the reasons and objectives for considering migration are initially displayed, then focuses on the analysis of the technical and economic aspects of each of the technologies criteria, to finally make the comparison between the two. In addition, and using indicators such as net present value and internal rate of return, profitability of migration is checked, in order to potentiate the benefits to users and the company providing the service. |
| Description: | El presente proyecto analiza la migración de una red HFC a una red G-PON utilizando como zona de estudio el sector de Urdesa Norte de la ciudad de Guayaquil, la cual es una zona altamente residencial. El estudio tiene un enfoque tanto técnico, económico y regulatorio con lo cual se busca evaluar la rentabilidad, ventajas y desventajas de la migración, analizando el periodo de retorno de inversión. El proyecto ha sido divido de tal forma que se muestre inicialmente las razones y objetivos para considerar la migración, posteriormente se enfoca en el análisis de los aspectos técnicos y económicos de cada una de las tecnologías para finalmente realizar la comparación entre ambas. Adicionalmente se hace uso de indicadores como el valor actual neto y la tasa interna de retorno para comprobar la rentabilidad de la migración y potencializar los beneficios a los usuarios y a la empresa proveedora del servicio. |
