| Abstract: | Annual banana exports in Ecuador show positive variations of up to 1.4%, which generate foreign exchange at the international level, making this agricultural product one of the main sources of economic development in the country. Due to this external consumption, local producers are forced to improve the quality of their products with the application of chemical inputs, which cause damage to the environment, a reason that is driving the search for natural alternatives to replace these inputs of synthetic origin. The present study elaborated and evaluated the activity of two biostimulant bioproducts called SM (mother solution) and SU (Ulva solution), which were made using residual biomass integrated with marine macroalgae (Kappaphycus alvarezii and Ulva lactuca) and the invasive plant of aquatic ecosystems Azolla filiculoides; the evaluation phase was carried out on banana seedlings of the "Williams" variety during a period of 30 days, considering as a control a commercial product called SC, in addition to three physical variables: Plant height, amount of chlorophyll and root size, obtained at the end of the evaluation period 4. 17±12.31 cm, 15.58±2.78 ICC, 6.40 ± 2.45 cm, correspondingly, as main dates. The analytical techniques used in the chemical characterization of the bioproducts used in the trial showed that the bioproduct SM has a higher DPPH antioxidant capacity than SU and SC of (477. 34 ± 25.98; 203.45 ± 7.5; 18.37 ± 9.0 μmol/L EqTrolox/g), total polyphenols PT (737.89 ± 10.64; 102.44 ± 1.47; 227.04 ± 1.15 μg GAE/g) and total flavonoids FT (236.78 ± 7.96; 193.46 ± 2.67; 62.89 ± 3. 10 μg QE/g). The analysis of data obtained from the different variables showed SM as the best bioproduct because it contains not only phytohormones, but also polyphenols, so that future research that includes not only the same evaluation at different concentrations of this solution in uncontrolled environments, but also in vivo studies to study the behavior of plant tissues against this bioproduct will guarantee the effectiveness of this biostimulant and place it as a new organic alternative in the Ecuadorian agricultural market |
