Propuesta de cortometraje animado asistido por IA para sensibilizar sobre la importancia de la paternidad presente

Abstract

In Ecuador, 6 out of every 10 births are to single mothers. This means that more than half of the babies born in this country arrive at home without a father. In addition to that figure, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) has alerted society to the limited time men dedicate to raising their children. In other words, even if a man stays home, he can become an emotionally absent father figure. This absence leads to difficulties in the parenting process. Research indicates that children with absent fathers tend to have low self-esteem, poor academic performance, and a low level of responsibility. This project aims to create content about responsible fatherhood using generative artificial intelligence (AI) and audiovisual post-production software to raise awareness among fathers aged 25 to 45 about their role in raising their children. The methodology is based on the research-create strategy, which posits that artistic creation processes and creative activities generate knowledge. It also emphasizes that the works and products resulting from these processes are knowledge in themselves, but clarifies that this is tacit, experiential knowledge. Due to the nature of this strategy, the process is iterative. It naturally tends to evolve into research-create-research. The workflow used the AI Gemini for treatment and script work. It then moved to the AI MidJourney to generate still images of the characters and backgrounds. Next, it used the AI Kling to convert the still images into video clips. The voiceovers were generated with the AI ElevenLabs. Finally, everything was combined in the postproduction software After Effects.
