| Abstract: | This paper is an application of the philosophy of electrical protection provided by relays to the electrical substation Puerto Santa Ana, which has managed to coordinate and adjust elements of protection according to designs of the substation and its feeders. To achieve our goal we developed load flow analysis, short circuit calculations, coordination of electrical protection applying computer software and the use of the appropriate standards. The practical and theoretical assumptions exposed were based on the experience in distribution of electrical engineers and on the analysis of the mathematical equations of the system. | Description: | El presente trabajo es una aplicación de la filosofía de protección brindada por relés a la Subestación Eléctrica Puerto Santa Ana, en la cual se ha logrado coordinar y ajustar elementos de protección según los diseños de la Subestación y sus Alimentadoras. Para lograr nuestro objetivo desarrollamos análisis de flujos de carga, cálculos de corto circuito, coordinación de las protecciones eléctricas, con la aplicación de programas computacionales y el uso de las Normas correspondientes. Las hipótesis prácticas y teóricas expuestas fueron basadas en la experiencia de ingenieros eléctricos del área de distribución y en el análisis pertinente de las ecuaciones matemáticas del sistema. |
