Description:	El diseño del festival turístico para la Carrera de Licenciatura en Turismo nace por iniciativa de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Humanísticas de la ESPOL partiendo desde la necesidad de querer aportar con conocimientos culturales y de turismo a la comunidad local, también con la finalidad de demostrar la importancia de la Carrera de Turismo. El punto de partida de este proceso fue el conocimiento de las necesidades y expectativas de los posibles asistentes del festival (estudiantes y padres de familia de los estudiantes de Turismo), se aplicaron herramientas de investigación como: encuestas, entrevistas y grupos focales. Una vez analizados los resultados, surgieron hallazgos muy importantes como por ejemplo: El interés de los estudiantes por los destinos turísticos poco convencionales o la intención de estudiantes de otras áreas de estudio de participar en el festival, también el poco conocimiento de los padres de familia de los estudiantes de Turismo acerca de la Carrera. Finalmente se logró una propuesta bastante interesante de un festival turístico que beneficiará, tanto a estudiantes de la Carrera de Turismo, como a estudiantes de otras áreas, así como también a los visitantes externos, en este caso los padres de familia de los estudiantes de Turismo
metadata.dc.description.abstractenglish:	The design of the Tourism Festival for the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism arises from the initiative of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at ESPOL, driven by the desire to contribute in terms of culture and tourism knowledge to the local community, as well as to emphasize the importance of the tourism bachelor?s degree. The starting point of this process was to understand the needs and expectations of potential festival attendees (students and parents of Tourism field students). The research tools applied for this study were surveys, interviews, and focus groups. Once the results were analyzed, significant findings emerged, such as students' interest in unconventional touristic destinations, the intention of students from other fields of study to participate in the festival, and the limited knowledge that parents have about the Tourism Bachelor?s Degree. In the end, an interesting proposal for a tourism festival was developed, which will benefit not only Tourism students but also students from other disciplines, as well as external visitors, particularly the parents of Tourism students.
