Description:	Santa Lucia al igual que otros sitios que componen la cuenca del Guayas, son zonas de alta concentración de vestigios arqueológicos y zonas de elevaciones antrópicas llamadas por los arqueólogos tolas, utilizadas como terrazas de cultivo, viviendas, sitios ceremoniales y complejos funerarios prehispánico. En la actualidad la actividad principal del cantón Santa Lucia es la agricultura, la siembra de arroz y mango, lo que provoca que las sean utilizadas para la construcción de sembríos, viviendas o sistemas de riego. En el 2021 el Instituto Nacional de Patrimonio Cultural en conjunto con la Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral, realizaron un rescate dentro del cantón, en el recinto Bermejo de Abajo, el cual dio como resultado 6 colectas de material cerámico. Con este material lo que se realizara es la identificación de tipos cerámicos y de afiliación cultural, para así poder contribuir de manera científica a la narrativa histórica del poblamiento prehispánico en la cuenca del Guayas.
metadata.dc.description.abstractenglish:	Santa Lucia, like other sites that make up the Guayas basin, are areas of high concentration of archaeological remains and areas of anthropogenic elevations called tolas by archaeologists, used as cultivation terraces, homes, ceremonial sites and pre-Hispanic funerary complexes. Currently, the main activity of the Santa Lucia canton is agriculture, the planting of rice and mango, which causes them to be used for the construction of crops, homes or irrigation systems. In 2021, the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, together with the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral, carried out a rescue within the canton, in the Bermejo de Abajo facility, which resulted in 6 collections of ceramic material. With this material, what will be carried out is the identification of ceramic types and cultural affiliation, in order to contribute scientifically to the historical narrative of the pre-Hispanic settlement in the Guayas basin.
