Abstract: The objective of this investigation is to set a series of curves with Axial Force and Moment Interaction and Moment Curvature to help the engineers in bridge columns analysis. These graphs were elaborated with the program XTRACT V.3.0.8 which allows you to create cross sections of different shapes, unlike other programs. Column Interaction Diagrams are very important for columns design because they show the combination of axial load and moment in the compression and tension regions which are separated by the load of failure at the ultimate moment and the Moment Curvature relationships presents the equivalent yield curvature and the ultimate curvature to obtain the plastic rotation capacity and the maximum displacement of a column in the inelastic range. Therefore, they were analyzed typical and common sections used in Guayaquil city such as circular and oblong sections to make this type of graphics. The curves have been compiled as abacuses according the geometry, concrete strength and steel ratio, considering the standard specifications for highway bridges AASHTO 2002, for a better and easier use to structural designers. Finally, at the end of this research an example was done to demonstrate the utility of these abacuses in a typical bridge design.
